Do's and Don'ts
Product Care
- Before your first use, thoroughly flush the Aqueduct (waterway/straw) and clean both the inside and outside of the cup. Please note that we sanitize and clean your cup using isopropyl alcohol before packaging, which is why this initial cleaning step is essential.
- Avoid letting liquid dry inside the cup, as this could result in a dry residue that becomes difficult to remove. It’s best to rinse the Aqueduct with water soon after use (if not cleaning it fully).
- Do NOT put it in a freezer with liquid or moisture inside. Liquid expands as it freezes, which can cause cracks in the glass.
- Do NOT use hot drinks with your O₃ Aqueduct cup. Drinking hot liquid from a straw could burn you.
- We advise against drinking tea or coffee with your cup. If not properly cleaned, this could leave a stain in the Aqueduct that may become difficult to clean over time.
- We recommend avoiding thick beverages or drinks with pulp, such as orange juice, as the particles can potentially clog the Aqueduct.
Step-by-Step guide
Cleaning Instructions
- Use soap (optional) to clean the inside and outside of the cup (as you would with any glass).
- Rinse the outside of the cup as you normally would. Then, under a running tap, allow water to flow through the straw to flush out the Aqueduct system until clean.
OPTIONAL: If a liquid has dried and left residue inside the Aqueduct, submerge your cup in warm water (ensure the Aqueduct is fully submerged).
Tip: A running tap will allow water to enter the straw and Aqueduct, helping to flush out any residue effectively.
- Allow it to sit for a few minutes (or longer, if necessary). Then, dry normally.
- Blow into the straw to help clear out any liquid inside.
Dishwasher: Being borosilicate glass, your O₃ cup can be cleaned in the dishwasher in a regular wash/rinse/dry cycle. However, this will not necessarily clean the Aqueduct because water is unable to get inside it. Submerging your O₃ cup in water as described above is the most efficient way to get it clean.
